		<description>A daemon is basically a server process that runs in the background and handles requests. You can read more &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_%28computer_software%29" rel="nofollow"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.

As a side note, the fact that daemon is spelled similarly to "demon" is probably why FreeBSD has a red devil as their mascot. </description>
