Faith = eternity in heaven. Quite a high stake game to guess the right religion. How many people of other religions are more devoted than you. Are they all going to hell? Is it because they lack faith or because they lost the game? If the devil can trick you to have strong faith in the false religion who says that the devil did not write the bible? How much evil has faith/religion caused, e.g. the crusades, and even today in Iraq? The world is a great place without God.

Listen to the John Lenon song Imagine. People need to stop wasting so much money on cutting down trees to make churches and handing out bibles when so many people are starving and have no clean water. Don’t build churches and hand out bibles and help the people with whatever money is left, just help the people 10-fold! I commend anyone who can be open to this idea. Moreover, I have the deepest respect for anyone who can have as much faith in helping their fellow man as some can have for believing in their own salvation.

    Sincerely,

    Faith in Man

Of course religion is a lie. But is God? There is no proof either way. God or no God? Are we accidents or were we made? Is everything an accident?

So we are all accidents and that this planet is also an accident. Then there is no purpose for our existence, right? Because our existence is just a damn accident! So we might as well be dead!

Is it an accident that all the planets and most other orbital bodies lie more or less on a plane? No, it’s not an “accident”. It’s a natural consequence of the properties of our Universe.

But let us say it is an accident that I exist. It does not follow that I might as well be dead. Regardless of why, I *DO* exist. And, regardless of why I exist, I wish to continue existing. Millions of children a year are an “accident”. Would you say it is better for them to all be killed? I would hope not. Humanity does not need dieties to breath meaning into their lifes. We are fully capable of providing our own meaning. Just because you have abdicated that responsibility to your religious leaders does not mean that is the only way.

    Be your own human, goddamnit.
