Gotta Love Disney

According to the New York Times, Disney is refusing to allow Miramax to distribute Michael Moore’s latest documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, which criticizes President Bush and his post-September 11 policies.

Although I plan on voting for President Bush in November, I strongly believe in the total freedom of information. Information should not be censored nor restricted for any reason, especially political motives. It’s not as if the documentary was going to be offensive to most people. In fact, I believe that most people would agree that Michael Moore’s documentaries tend to be very insightful and entertaining. Furthermore, they’ve made people aware of often overlooked social problems and injustices.

I guess I’ve found another reason to hate Disney and Michael Eisner.
